Your Stay in the Luberon: The Role of a High-End Concierge

A stay in the Luberon can take many forms.

A few days to slow down and enjoy a house without constraints. A holiday surrounded by family or friends. A special occasion to celebrate. Or, for owners, the pleasure of returning to their home after several months away.

Each of these situations calls for the kind of tailored support that a high-end concierge service provides.

Yet behind these very different moments lie the same challenges: anticipating, finding the right people and organising every detail without letting logistics take over.

When a Stay Has Only One Requirement: Nothing to Organise

Owners and tenants alike can arrive in the Luberon with the same expectation: not having to worry about a thing.

For them, our work begins well before they arrive.
The house is ready and, from the very first hours, everything is designed so they can simply enjoy it.
During their stay, we keep a low profile and only step in when asked.

  • A chef can come and cook at the house for a dinner, an ideal alternative when you would rather spend the evening at home than book a table.
  • A wine tasting can be arranged on the terrace, with a local winemaker who comes out for the occasion: another way to discover the wines of the Luberon, away from the usual setting of the cellar door.
  • A massage can take place by the pool, at the moment that best suits the rhythm of the day.

Different moments, with one shared aim: enjoying the stay without having to manage its organisation.

Our tip: clients looking for this level of calm should let us know as soon as they confirm their visit. It gives us time to prepare, limit comings and goings during the stay and take care of the essentials in advance.

When a Stay Is Planned Around Hosting

Other stays are planned to bring people together, celebrate or mark an occasion, without the host having to spend their own stay in the kitchen or on the phone.

In this context, the role of a high-end concierge service is above all to plan ahead and coordinate the various service providers.

For example, we call on a private chef for a group dinner, with a menu designed around the number of guests and the season.

We can also book a table to suit the atmosphere you are looking for. Some of these addresses are ones we already recommend village by village; others, more discreet, seat only a handful of guests.

And for a special occasion, we have gone as far as arranging a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Luberon’s hilltop villages.
A way to start the day that guests do not forget.
A hot air balloon flight in the Luberon still needs to be booked well in advance, even though final confirmation depends on the weather and may only come on the day itself. We keep an eye on conditions and stay in touch with the operator as the date approaches.

To surprise their guests, some clients opt instead for a ride in a convertible 2CV along the roads of the Luberon, with or without a driver.

These touches do not fundamentally change how a stay unfolds, but they often shape the memories guests take home.

Our tip: the larger the group, the more planning matters. A last-minute request is still possible, but the best addresses and the most sought-after experiences are worth booking several weeks ahead, especially between June and September, when the pace of the Luberon picks up.

When the Owner Is Away

It is not always about organising a stay.
Some second home owners live far from their house for much of the year.

For them, our presence is not a one-off experience but ongoing support: we handle day-to-day paperwork, coordinate tradespeople when needed and check the property regularly, even when no one has stayed there for several months.

This regular presence also helps us prepare for their return: getting the house ready before they arrive and, if they wish, arranging a private chef, a wine tasting, a massage or a morning kayaking on the Sorgue, without having to coordinate everything from afar.

Our tip: when you live far from your home, it is best to build this relationship of trust early. The sooner it begins, the better we come to know the house, its routines and its requirements over time.

A High-End Concierge Service: More Than a List of Services

A high-end concierge service is not measured by the number of services it offers, but by its ability to understand each person’s expectations and respond to them with precision and discretion.

Resting, hosting, looking after a house in one’s absence: expectations differ, and so does the support. The question is not only what to do in the Luberon, but also when to do it and who to turn to. That is what the work of a concierge service in the Luberon comes down to: real knowledge of the area, refined season after season.
